There are creative writing exercises with self-starter stories and journaling with strategies to gain meaning from grade level text. Children use the language of mathematics and make connections to solve problems. Through observation and exploration, children explore the natural world around them by building Corbilina houses.

Kindness is explored through performing independent research projects, writing narratives to develop real or imagined experiences using effective technique, descriptive details, and clear event sequences, and performing presentations of knowledge and ideas. There are also opportunities for collaborative discussions and recognizing the effects of pollution and humans on the environment. Children enjoy exploring nature by asking “what if” questions and creating Corbilina houses.
